Fitness Motivation | Winter

Cu totii cunoastem starea aceea din diminetile de iarna: pat calduros, perna pufoasa, cana de ceai si televizorul aprins. Cu greu reusim sa ne incepem ziua devreme si energic.

In timpul verii, nici nu poti sa stai in pat toata ziua datorita razelor de soare ce iti bat puternic in geam chiar de la prima ora. Evident, esti mult mai motivat sa iti incepi ziua mai productiv. Fie ca te duci in parc la jogging, fie ca mergi la sala, in oricare caz iti vine mult mai usor pe timp insorit.

Iarna…ne miscam mai greu! Afara e deseori mohorat, prin urmare orice activitate ce necesita iesirea din casa este exclusa. Pana la sala te-ai duce, dar din pacate poate te-ai trezit prea tarziu si te simti complet nemotivat sa faci sport.

Astazi am sa va povestesc cum reusesc eu sa raman motivata pentru un stil de viata sanatos si echilibrat, pe timp de iarna. Nu spun ca intotdeauna reusesc sa ma mentin in acest program de sport, caci si eu ma regasesc de multe ori in situatiile de mai sus.

Personal, prefer sa-mi fac workout-ul de dimineata. Astfel, ma simt mult mai energica si de cele mai multe ori, ajung sa am o zi mult mai productiva.

We all know that feeling we have when waking up in the wintertime: cozy bed, soft pillow, cup of tea and the TV on. We hardly get up and start our day early and full of energy.

Throughout summer, there’s no way for you to stay in bed all day because of the sun that’s making an appearance behind your window really early in the morning. Of course, you are more motivated to start your day productively. Either you are going or a jog in the nearest park, or you are going to the gym, in any case it’s a lot easier on warm weather.

During winter…everything is so slow! Outside it’s usually cold and cloudy. You would go to the gym, but unfortunately you woke up pretty late and you feel unmotivated to workout.

Today I am going to tell you how I stay motivated for a good and healthy lifestyle throughout winter. I can’t say I always succeed to maintain myself through this sport program, because I often find myself in the situations I described earlier.

Personally, I prefer doing my workout in the morning. This way, I feel a lot more energetic and most of the times, my day goes a lot more productive.

1) HIDRATEAZA-TE! HYDRATE!

DSC09233Inainte de fiecare antrenament, ii ofer corpului meu cat mai multa apa pentru a-l hidrata si a-l pregati de efortul care urmeaza. Folosesc produsul “Hydrate” de la Herbalife gama 24, mic pliculet cu praf pe care il amestec cu apa plata.

Before every workout, I give my body a proper amount of water to hydrate it and get it ready for the physical effort. I use the product “Hydrate” from Herbalife 24, little packet of powder which I mix with water.DSC09260

Primavara asta, eram pe Youtube si ma uitam la niste videoclipuri la intamplare, urmand sa descopar canalul Blogilates. Am fost destul de interesata sa vad daca POP pilates-ul acesta al ei, Casey Ho, fondatoarea canalului, chiar functioneaza asa ca exact atunci am apasat pe unul dintre videoclipuri si mi-am inceput workout-ul.

This spring, I was watching some random videos on Youtube when I found the “Blogilates” channel. I was quite interested in seeing if this POP Pilates of Casey Ho, the founder of the channel, actually works so I immediately clicked on one of her videos and I started my wrokout.

Pe scurt, de atunci sunt complet innebunita de tot ce inseamna POP Pilates: practic pilates obisnuit, insa intervale mult mai scurte, miscari intense, dar rapide. Recomand oricui este in pana de idei in legatura cu ce ar putea face pentru a se tonifia, sau chiar pentru a se simti mai bine. Sunt scurte videoclipurile, in jur de 10 minute fiecare, dar in fiecare luna, Casey iti ofera calendarul zilnic de workout pentru luna respectiva. In fiecare zi, ai in jur de 5 videoclipuri (50-60 de minute impreuna), derulate unul dupa celalalt, in care trebuie sa lucrezi cu ea diferite parti ale corpului. Este gratuit tot programul ei si foarte la indemana de aplicat. Organizarea workout-urilor ei pe calendar, ma aduce la cel de-al doilea sfat:

Long story short, now I am absolutely obsessed with everything that has something to do with POP Pilates: practically usual pilates, but the intervals of training are way shorter with intense moves and also quick. I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t know what to do to tone the body and feel better. The videos are short, they are about 10 minutes each, but every month, Casey creates the daily calendar of workout for the specific month. Everyday, you have a playlist of 5 videos (50-60 minutes all together) in which you have to workout different parts of your body. It’s totally free and really comfortable to use. The organization of her workouts lead me to the second tip:

2) PLANIFICA PE HARTIE! WRITE DOWN YOUR WORKOUTS!

Scrie-ti pe un calendar zilele din saptamana in care poti sa iti insertezi antrenamentul, ce anume vei face in cadrul acestuia si pentru ce parti ale corpului optezi. Daca lucrezi cu Blogilates, atunci nu e nevoie sa iti creezi propriul calendar, caci are ea unul deja pregatit pentru tine.

Write down on a calendar the days of the week when you can insert your workout, what specifically you are going to do through it and what parts of your body you are going to target. 3) NU RENUNTA LA STRETCHING! DON’T GIVE UP ON STRETCHING!

Stretching-ul este una din cele mai importante etape ale unui workout, caci elibereaza muschii din incordare si le ofera timp sa se relaxeze si sa-si recupereze forma. Stiu ca uneori poate fi dureros sau plictisitor, insa este un pas ce trebuie parcurs.

The stretching is one of the most important steps in a workout because it releases the muscles from getting stuck and gives them time to relax and recover their shape. I know it sometimes can be difficult and boring, but it’s a step that needs to be done.

Vezi intinderea ca pe un mod de a relaxa atat corpul, cat si mintea si nu ti se va mai parea asa dificil!

Think of your stretching as a way to relax your body and mind at the same time and it won’t seem as difficult!

4) RECOLECTEAZA-TI PUTEREA DUPA WORKOUT! GET YOUR POWER BACK AFTER THE WORKOUT!

Intotdeauna trebuie sa ne hranim dupa ce ne supunem corpul la efort fizic. Avem nevoie de proteine, fibre, ba chiar carbohidrati. Carbohidratii sunt principala sursa de energie dintr-un aliment si fara ei, nu am reusi sa ne continuam ziua productiv. Si nu, nu ma refer la paste, paine si pizza toata ziua, desi este permis sa accepti si astfel de mese uneori. Ma refer la carbohidrati buni cum ar fi orezul, hrisca, cartofii, cerealele integrale, nautul, lintea, ba chiar fructele si legumele.

We always need to eat after we put our body in physical effort. We need the proteins, the fibers and even the carbohydrates. Carbs are the main source of energy from and without them, we wouldn’t continue our day as productively as always. And no, I don’t refer to pasta, bread and pizza all day, even though sometimes it’s okay to accept these kinds of meals too. I refer to good carbs such as rice, potatoes, natural cereals, even fruit and vegetables.

5) ENJOY!

La sfarsit, sa ne oferim putin timp de recunostinta si sa ne aplaudam. Trebuie sa fim mandri de noi pentru ca facem sport. Nu e usor! Nimeni nu se trezeste de dimineata cu patratelele pe abdomen si fund bombat, lipsit de celulita, fara sa fi facut nimic. Pentru asta trebuie durere si putere. Trebuie sa ai putere morala, motivatie, nu numai fizica! In timp ce multi dorm, stau pe telefoane sau nu se ocupa cu nimic, noi lucram pentru a obtine acea figura impecabila!

In the end, let’s take a moment to appreciate ourselves. We have to be proud because we workout. It is not easy! Nobody wakes up in the morning with a six pack and flawless booty without doing nothing. To get these, there is a lot of work and pain. You have to have motivation and moral strength, not only physical. While many could be sleeping, surfing the web or doing nothing, we are working to get that awesome figure!
