Si desi aminteste a secolul precedent, tehnologia si in general, totul e foarte contemporan si practic. Vina mea, ce-i drept.

EN: Our “morning” starts somewhere around 4 o’clock at night, in rush for the “departure” terminal of the airport, tired, but excited for a new, hopefully special experience. As we land at Charleroi Airport in Belgium, the low temperature of the city hits us, along with the freezing air and the cloudy sky. We aren’t let down anyways, continuing on visiting the city Ghent, which, in my opinion, is such a beautiful city in such a unique and different way in comparison with the other cities I’ve been to. Because the architecture is surprisingly complex and special and the streets so clean making the city look very organize and neat. And although it reminds the past century, the technology and everything, really, are so contemporary and practical. So contemporary that I almost lost a hand to a tram passing by right next to the pavement. I confess, though, my fault.

After visiting Ghent, next on the list is sleep. The next morning, we decide to be concrete tourists and visit the Atomium, which, honestly, deserves to be seen (if not for the culture, at least for the pics, hihi). Next up Mini-Europe, the park containing an important monument or building from every country of the EU. Although during the walk, we are most concentrated on finding our own country, we can’t help but notice the amazingly, precisely made pieces. So after a trip to London and a walk through Paris, we finally find Romania, with Mogosoaia Palace representing.

A little later, we continue with Grand Place, which, I have to confess, I have totally fallen in love with. Again, the special architecture along lots of stores of Belgian chocolate and coffee, in which we bought some travel “souvenirs” for our close ones, the mini boutiques of hats and gloves, the streets walked by so many different people of so many different ages of so many different nationalities. An explosion of energy! But you don;t yet know the best part! In most of the stores you can find the Christmas theme and decor. Meaning Christmas lights and branches and chocolate in red bows, which make me extra-excited for what’s to come.

So, after a day full of running around, we decide that another walk sounds good (special clothes to all of the clothes I used to overlay on myself that made me look like a penguin,  a warm penguin). Avenue Louise of Brussels on a Sunday night isn’t the place for shopping, but it’s perfect for simply walking, listening to Stromae and random talking.

We end our trip with the whole reason that brought us here, the visit to the European Parlament, where we learned a lot of new information, from what does the E.P. mean and how does it work. Who am I referring to when I say “we”? We, meaning Youth Society, all of the people from the photo above, which I thank a lot for a couple of cool days. And about us, the other “we”, I’m talking about my dear girlfriends, without whom I couldn’t have created such good memories.

xoxo.

  1. Superbe fotografii.. felicitari! 🙂 La anul planificam si noi sa mergem in Belgia! Ati folosit transportul in comun sau ati mers doar pe jos?
